Introducing The Canola Roller: A New Era of Gravel Riding
The Greyton MTB and Gravel Club is thrilled to announce the second chapter of this event that was a bold transformation of the beloved race previously known as the Pie Run. After the great success of the first Canola Roller we decided to increase the total to 800x spots available, don’t miss your chance to be part of this epic event — enter today!
Starting in the picturesque town of Greyton, Western Cape, The Canola Roller offers three stunning route options: 130 km, 80 km, and 30 km, all with e-bike options available. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a beginner, there’s a challenge for everyone! Explore the Overberg’s Breathtaking Springtime Views
The Canola Roller is not just a race—it's an adventure. Pedal through the breathtaking springtime scenery of the Overberg and the Riversonderend mountains. From rolling hills to rugged climbs and thrilling descents, every kilometer will leave you in awe.

130 km Route: A true gravel adventure, with 95% gravel terrain and part of the Cannondale Western Cape Gravel Series. Prepare for fast, hard-packed stretches, technical climbs, and exhilarating downhills. Rest assured, this epic route is perfect for gravel bikes.

Supporting Greyton’s Next Generation of Riders
The entry fees go towards the Greyton MTB Juniors Club—a vibrant community of over 40 kids from Greyton who train, grow, and thrive through mountain biking. Your participation helps support their mentorship and trail network development.

30/80 KILOMETER
The traditional 76km Pie Run route will be upgraded to a more exciting 80km route with just under 1000 m of climbing, while the existing family-friendly 30km route will remain unchanged. Both routes are non-technical and pass through breathtaking rural landscapes with stunning views of the Riviersonderend mountains.
80km START 8H20 ( 6 hours to complete)
30km START 8H40 ( 3 hours to complete )


130 kilometer
The 130 km route, with 1700 m of climbing, is one of only five events in the Cannondale Western Cape Gravel Series. It offers something for those looking for a greater challenge. Expect a thrilling ride featuring fast hardpack rolling hills, demanding technical climbs, and exhilarating downhill sections
